A Historic Monument and a New Beginning: The Story Behind Corufy’s Logo

   

The soul of a brand lives within its logo. For a long time, I wandered in search of such an identity for Corufy. Countless pages were filled with sketches and discarded, but I couldn’t find that one idea that truly satisfied my heart.

An Unexpected Encounter

The answer to that search arrived on a quiet evening. My friends and I were cruising through the streets of Jaffna, simply enjoying the breeze. When a friend said, “Let’s stop by the Fort to watch the sunset,” I had no idea that this moment would become a turning point for my brand’s destiny.

As the sun began to fade behind the ancient ramparts of the Jaffna Fort, the monument stood with a silent, breathtaking majesty in the twilight. It is a beauty that travelers from around the world come to admire, but that day, it ignited a brand-new vision within me.

Discovery and Clarity

I couldn’t sleep that night; the silhouette of the fort was etched in my mind. The question kept echoing: “Why shouldn’t this historic icon become the face of Corufy?”

I spent the entire following week immersing myself in its history. By the end of it, I was certain this was the perfect choice, driven by three core reasons:

• Pride of the Soil: It is one of the most significant archaeological and heritage treasures of Sri Lanka, specifically of our Jaffna.
• A Global Identity: There is no better image to voice the long history and the resilience of Jaffna to the entire world.
• Endurance: Just as the fort has stood strong through centuries, I envisioned Corufy to endure and stand the test of time.

               

The Significance of Colors

Once this clarity was found, what were once mere lines began to take shape as a design. To breathe life into the fort’s form, I chose colors that are not just decorative but tell a story:

1. Gold: I chose this to symbolize the Premium Quality of our service and the Artistic Excellence we pour into every creation.
2. Black: This represents a Timeless History and the Boldness & Uniqueness that defines Corufy.

Emerging from a historical backdrop that carries the bravery, beauty, and culture of our land, the Corufy logo was born—reflecting both high quality and majestic grace.
